Minnesota Medical Development, Inc. (MMDI) was established in 2001 and is based in Plymouth, Minnesota. Located in the heart of Minnesota’s “Medical Alley,” MMDI has access to some of the world’s finest medical product development, manufacturing and marketing resources.

MMDI was formed with the objective of identifying, researching and developing innovative medical products with a primary focus on devices used for minimally invasive surgery. The company’s founders have over eighty years of combined experience designing, manufacturing and marketing various medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

Purpose
MMDI’s primary objective is to identify, develop, patent and manufacture unique medical devices that provide significant clinical benefits and market opportunities. The company will explore potential strategic alliances for licensing, product distribution or acquisition.

Patents and Licensing
MMDI has secured the exclusive manufacturing and marketing rights for a patented, minimally invasive device for hernia repair (Rebound HRD) made from Nitinol. The company holds two patents for a guide wire/catheter coil dispenser and method of manufacturing as well as a patent for a unique guide wire used for vascular interventional procedures. Other medical devices are currently under review.
